REVIEW & LOTD: MAC Paint Pot in IndianWood and a Valentine's Day Look

Of course you all have heard of MAC Paint Pots and of course you have heard of IndianWood as well... But you guys'll need to be patient and hear me out when I say that I love it and I very well intend to make you guys fall in love with it as well if you are already not ;) It is this gorgeous shade of Gold, which is less yellow and more coppery. It is an antique coppery gold with a smooth buttery texture, which dries up real fast and then doesn't budge an inch :) It stays on my oily lids like forever :D

Oooohhss And Aaahhhsss!!
1. It's a gorgeous shade.
2. It's stays on for like ever!
3. It does not crease even on my oily lids.
4. It can be used as an eye shadow as well as a base.
5. Its smooth and buttery and very easy to work with.
6. At 1100/- some might find it a bit expensive but trust me it is worth every penny and it goes on like forever and just doesn't get over :P
7. It is waterproof and smudge proof. It does not transfer and stays on for really long.
8. It would ALL Indian skin tones for sure!

I swear I cannot think of any cons!

Repurchase?
Oh yes! Though I am eyeing Constructivist right now ;)

Would I Recommend?
Definitely! It is the most versatile shade of Golden and its a must have for everyone! you just apply it on your lids and you are ready to go! Convenient and Gorgeous at the same. What else you need?

  9. I got MAC paint paint pot in Morning frost,havnt tried it yet.. my main purpose to get it was to use it as a eye shadow base.

    1. Do let us know how it turns out for you :) Morning Frost as such is a gorgeous shade and can be worn on its own as well :) For bases I would suggest "bland" shades like Painterly or Groundwork :)

    3. The SAs are not always right :) and of course you could use it as a base but it'll be a waste cause the shade is a beauty and it wont be fair to cover it up with another shadow :) so i suggested "duller" paint pots like Painterly or groundwork...

      But seriously SAs are always not right! though some are totally fabulous :) for example a MAC SA in the pune store suggested me to use MAC Mineralize foundation in NC30 and another one at the same store suggested NC42! LOL... some decisions one needs to take on their own :)

    9. oopsie daisy! combination sensitive skin is really difficult to handle na... I have heard Tea-Tree oil range from TBS is good for sensitive skins... what do u typically use for your skin Heer?

    10. yeah it is...i have used tea tree products from Tbs..their facewash is one thing i always keep buying...ive tried like sooo many products..dont know where to start from :P...right now im using cetaphil cleanser and mosituriser cos i've been breaking out so often and also using what the derma has prescribed..need to see derma again ..hope that my skin heals soon tho :(

    11. awwww am sure it'll get better soon.. the recent breakouts might just be cause of hormonal changes.. that'll pass soon but yup seeing a derma is the best thing you can do for your skin right now :)

  14. i was just gonna ask u where's contructivist? These paint pots are sooooo amazing especially for packing on color over them!! which brush do u use to apply paint pots? I use Urban Decay Good karma eyeshadow brush....Right now I am not able to buy due to the mourning period but I am eyeing this shade too...I just have 5 paint pots...Blackground, Quite natural, Groundwork, Dangerous Cuvee and Vintage Selection...Shall be getting more!

    1. constructivist is on the cards next :D you have a nice collection :) dangerous cuvee is really pretty :) but isn't Vintage selection a lot like IndianWood.. i founf=d them pretty similar u know :P LOL... u use a brush for the paint pots??? how cool... i just use my fingers... i know i know it isn't hygienic but i guess i am just too lazy :P lol! :)

    2. Fingers are definitely not hygienic...u can sanitize the paint pot by spraying some surgical spirit and drying it for a minute....

      Vintage selection is not at all like Indianwood...Its very pale pink beige and is packed with shimmer...
